Steps to Turn on Enhanced Protection Safe Browsing in Google Chrome
- Launch the Google Chrome web browser, click the vertical ellipses next to your profile icon at the top of the screen, and then click “Settings” in that menu. You’ll land on the Google Chrome settings screen.
- Click “Privacy and Security” in the menu on the left side of the screen. Google Chrome privacy and security options are shown on the right side of the screen.
- Navigate to the Privacy and Security section, and then click “Security.”
- Navigate to the Safe Browsing section, and then click to select the radio button next to “Enhanced Protection.” Enhanced safe browsing will be enabled in Google Chrome going forward. If you ever decide you don’t like the feature or no longer need it, you can navigate back here at any time to turn it off.
