However, if you want to go a step further you can turn on the enhanced safe browsing protection feature. With enhanced protection enabled Chrome will try to warn you about dangerous events before they happen, warn you of potentially dangerous downloads, alert you if your passwords are exposed in a data breach, and much more. You can turn on the enhanced protection safe browsing feature with a few quick clicks.

Steps to Turn on Enhanced Protection Safe Browsing in Google Chrome

  1. Launch the Google Chrome web browser, click the vertical ellipses next to your profile icon at the top of the screen, and then click “Settings” in that menu. You’ll land on the Google Chrome settings screen.
