Steps to Turn On Battery Saver on Google Pixel
- Navigate to your Google Pixel home screen. Swipe up on this screen to bring up a menu, and then tap “Settings” in this menu. The Settings screen is shown.
- Tap “Battery” in this menu. The Battery screen is displayed.
- Tap “Battery Saver.” The Google Pixel battery screen opens.
- Tap to toggle on “Battery Saver.”
From here, you can choose either Standard Battery Saver or Extreme Battery Saver. Standard Battery Saver limits visual effects and background activity, like app updates, and turns on the dark mode theme if it isn’t already enabled. Alternatively, turning on Extreme Battery Saver does everything that standard battery saver does, but also pauses non-essential apps and their notifications.
Additionally, if you tap to expand “Adaptive Battery,” you can choose whether to use the adaptive battery feature, which will continually optimize how apps use your device’s battery based on your phone usage. The only catch with this feature is that it may have a negative impact on your Google Pixel’s performance and background activity.
Reasons to Turn On Battery Saver on Google Pixel
1. Extend Battery Life
Extending the battery life is crucial for uninterrupted usage, especially during long days away from power sources. Battery Saver mode ensures your Google Pixel conserves energy, making it last longer. This is vital when you’re relying on your phone for navigation, communication, or entertainment. It provides peace of mind, knowing your device won’t suddenly power down.
2. Reduce Power Consumption
Reducing power consumption is key to maintaining battery health over time. Battery Saver mode on Google Pixel minimizes power usage by adjusting various settings. This approach not only extends battery life but also contributes to the overall efficiency of the device. It ensures essential functions remain operational while non-essential processes are minimized.
3. Manage Resources Efficiently
Efficient resource management is crucial for optimal device performance. The Battery Saver mode on Google Pixel intelligently allocates resources. It prioritizes crucial functions over less important background activities. This optimization ensures smoother, more reliable performance, particularly when the battery is low.
4. Limit Data Usage
Limiting data usage becomes important in managing your monthly data plan. On Google Pixel, Battery Saver mode can help reduce data consumption. This is especially useful for those without unlimited data plans. It prevents apps from using excess data in the background, ensuring that your data allowance lasts longer.
5. Prevent Overheating
Preventing overheating is essential for maintaining your device’s integrity. When the Google Pixel operates in Battery Saver mode, it reduces the workload on the processor. This reduction in activity helps in keeping the device cooler. It prolongs the lifespan of the phone by avoiding heat-related damage.
6. Improve Device Longevity
Improving device longevity is a significant advantage of using Battery Saver mode. This mode helps maintain a healthier battery state over time. By avoiding deep discharges, it ensures the battery retains its capacity and efficiency for longer periods. This extends the overall lifespan of your Google Pixel.
7. Emergency Situations
In emergency situations, having a functioning phone could be life-saving. Battery Saver mode on the Google Pixel ensures that your phone conserves enough power to stay on. It becomes a critical feature when you need to keep your phone operational for as long as possible.
8. Travel Convenience
For travelers, keeping a phone charged is a common challenge. The Google Pixel’s Battery Saver mode is a boon for those on the go. It ensures your phone remains usable throughout your journey. This is especially beneficial in areas where charging options are scarce.
9. Sleep Mode Efficiency
Sleep mode efficiency is another reason to use Battery Saver on Google Pixel. At night, when phone usage is minimal, this mode reduces power consumption. This smart management ensures that the phone uses the least amount of energy. It conserves battery power for the next day’s use.
