Introduction
The adaptive triggers on the PS5 DualSense controller offer an extra layer of haptic feedback designed to draw you deeper into games. The adaptive triggers make it possible for developers to make you physically feel things like the tension of drawing a bow and arrow, or like you’re weapon is jammed. However, the adaptive triggers on the PS5 aren’t for everyone, and if you don’t like the feature you can easily turn it off. Examples of all instructions in the steps can be seen in both the YouTube video above and the image collection located beneath the steps.
Steps to Turn Off PS5 DualSense Controller Adaptive Triggers
- Navigate to your PS5 home screen, and then click “Settings” to open the Settings menu.
- Click “Accessories” in the Settings menu. The Accessories screen is shown.
- Choose “Controllers” in the menu on the left side of the screen. Controller options will be displayed on the right side of the screen.
- Click “Trigger Effect Intensity” to open a menu where you can either change the intensity of the adaptive triggers, or turn them off. Your changes will be applied automatically.
