How to Find Downloads on Android

Introduction

Finding downloads on Android used to be a huge hassle. However, with newer versions of the mobile operating system, Google has made this much easier by introducing a file manager. The Android file manager is where you’ll find all of the downloads from the web browser on your Android device, but also where any captured screenshots, video and audio will live as well.

Steps to Find Downloads on Android

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen on your Android device to display the Apps screen.
  2. Tap to open an app called Files, My Files, or File Manager. In the case of my device, this will be located in my Samsung folder. The My Files screen is displayed.
  3. Tap “Downloads” in the Categories section. A list of the files you’ve downloaded through your device’s web browser will be displayed. Tap to open any of the files.
