Introduction
Hulu profiles are great for giving the different people who use your Hulu account their own custom experience based on their Hulu viewing history. However, if you’ve got Hulu profiles set up for people who no longer need them (such as kids who’ve grown up and can finally pay for their own Hulu account), you can delete those profiles to clean things up. Please note that the only way to delete a Hulu profile is through the Hulu.com website. Examples of all instructions in the steps can be seen in both the YouTube video above and the image collection located beneath the steps.
Steps to Delete a Hulu Profile
- Open a web browser, navigate to Hulu.com, and then sign in to your Hulu account if prompted. You’ll land on your Hulu home screen.
- Click the name of your Hulu account that appears in the upper right corner of the screen to open a drop-down menu, and then click “Manage Profiles” in the drop-down menu. The Manage Your Account screen appears.
- Make sure the “Profiles” tab is selected at the top of the Hulu Manage Your Account screen. Then, click the “Edit” icon to the right of the profile you want to delete. The Edit icon looks like a pencil. In this example, I’ll delete the profile named ABC. The Edit Profile window appears for that profile.
- Click “Delete Profile” at the bottom of the Edit Profile window for the Hulu profile you want to delete. A Delete Profile windows appears asking if you’re sure you want to delete this Hulu profile, and informing you that this will remove all settings, recommendations and the history associated with this Hulu profile. Click the red “Delete Profile” button.
A message will appear briefly on the screen confirming the Hulu profile has been deleted, and then you’ll be returned to the Manage Your Account screen, where you’ll no longer see that profile listed.
