Introduction
The Disney Plus streaming service has something for almost everyone. However, if you’re in a crowded household where everyone is using the same account, you won’t have your own watchlist, and some of the video recommendations may not be anything you care about. Thankfully, you can create your own profile within a Disney Plus account. You can choose your profile whenever you launch Disney Plus, where you’ll have a home screen that’s filled with recommendations based on what you watch, and you can curate your own watchlist. You can create a new Disney Plus profile on any platform where you can access Disney Plus, such as Roku, iOS, Android, Xbox, PS4 and more, and the process for adding a new profile is nearly identical across those platforms. Examples of all instructions in the steps can be seen in the YouTube video below.
Steps to Create a New Profile on Disney Plus
- Launch the Disney Plus app on your device, and then tap or click your profile icon on the home screen. On some platforms, such as Roku, you’ll need to navigate to the far left side of the screen to open a menu where your profile icon is displayed. A menu appears.
- Choose “Add Profile” in the menu. The Choose Icon screen appears.
- Tap to choose the icon you want to be associated with your new Disney Plus profile. The Add Profile screen appears.
- Enter the name of your new profile in the Profile Name field. Then, toggle the Kids Profile slider to “On” if you want the content made available to this profile to be suitable for kids. Click “Save” or “Done” when you’re done making changes, depending on the platform you’re using.
You’ll be returned to the Who’s Watching screen, where you can choose the profile you want to use to access Disney Plus. Going forward, when you launch Disney Plus, you’ll be prompted to choose which profile you want to use before moving on to your Disney Plus home screen associated with that profile.
