Introduction
With the rollout of iOS 13 in late 2019, Apple makes it possible for users to quickly switch WiFi networks on an iPhone or iPad in the Control Center. Previously, to change wireless networks on an iPhone or iPad, users had to log into their device and navigate to the Bluetooth part of the Settings app. Switching WiFi networks through the Control Center on an iPhone or iPad only takes a few seconds. Examples of all instructions in the steps can be seen in both the YouTube video above and the image collection located beneath the steps.
Steps to Change WiFi Network Quickly in iPhone or iPad Control Center
- Pull down from the upper right corner of your iPhone or iPad screen to display the Control Center.
- Hold a finger against the “Wifi” icon in the array of icons in the upper left corner of the Control Center. That menu will expand.
- Hold your finger against the “Wifi” icon again. A WiFi menu appears on your screen, listing the WiFi network your iPhone or iPad is currently connected to, along with available WiFi networks.
- Tap the WiFi network you want to connect to. If it’s a known WiFi network your iPhone or iPad is set up to automatically connect to, you’ll be automatically connected. Alternatively, if it’s a network your device isn’t set up to connect to automatically you’ll be prompted to enter the password for that wireless network before you can connect.
