Facebook Pay makes it easy to send and receive money on on the universe of apps Facebook owns: Facebook, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, and WhatsApp. Enabling a PIN code that must be entered prior to making a purchase is a good way to keep your account safe. To further ensure security it’s important to go a step further and change your Facebook Pay PIN every six months. In this article I’ll show you how to change your Facebook Pay PIN on an iPhone, iPad or Android device, and also using the Facebook.com website.

Steps to Change Facebook Pay PIN Number on iPhone, iPad or Android

1. Tap to launch the Facebook app on your iPhone, iPad or Android device, and then tap the “Menu” icon at the bottom of the screen. The Menu screen is displayed.
2. Scroll down to the bottom of this screen and then tap “Settings and Privacy” to expand that menu. Tap “Settings” in that menu. The Settings screen is shown.

3. Tap “Facebook Pay” in the Account Settings section. The Facebook Pay screen is displayed.

4. Scroll down to the bottom of this screen and then tap “Settings.” The Facebook Pay Settings window is shown.

5. Tap “Change PIN.” The Enter Your PIN screen is shown.

6. Enter your current PIN on this screen. Enter what you want to set as your new Facebook Pay PIN on the next two screens. You’ll be returned to the Settings screen.

Going forward, you’ll enter your new PIN code whenever prompted for your Facebook Pay PIN.

Steps to Change Facebook Pay PIN Number on Facebook.com

1. Navigate to the Facebook.com website on a desktop browser, and then click the drop-down arrow at the top of the screen to open a menu.
2. Click “Settings and Privacy” in this menu, and then click “Settings” on the next window. The Settings screen is displayed.

3. Find “Facebook Pay” in the menu along the left side of the screen, and then click it. The Facebook Pay screen is shown.

4. Click “Settings” in the menu on the left side of this screen. The Settings options will be shown on the right side of that window.

5. Click “Change PIN.” The Change PIN window is shown.

6. Enter your current PIN on this screen. Enter what you want to set as your new Facebook Pay PIN on the next two screens. You’ll be returned to the Settings screen.

Going forward, you’ll enter your new PIN code whenever prompted for your Facebook Pay PIN.
