Should I Show My Face on TikTok?

Privacy

If you’re someone who’s deeply concerned about your online privacy, or you just prefer to keep your personal life separate from your TikTok content, it may not be a good idea for you to show your face on TikTok. There’s the very real risk that people download your content from the platform, and present your likeness in a way you wouldn’t approve of.

Engagement

Showing your face in your TikTok videos may make you more relatable to your viewers, and as a result they may want to engage more with you. A direct result of that engagement can be a stronger relationship with your audience.

Branding

As an expansion of showing your face being a positive for engagement, it can also help personal branding by building trust. You can leverage this trust in your brand by promoting products and services you feel your audience would be interested in.
