Steps to Block Someone on TikTok
- Launch the TikTok app on your iPhone, iPad or Android device.
- Navigate to the profile of the individual on TikTok who you want to block, and then tap the ellipses at the top of this screen. A Send To menu will open at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap “Block.” A menu is shown asking if you want to block this user, letting you know that if you move forward with blocking them they will not be able to send you messages, or see your posts or your profile.
- Tap “Block.”
You’ll be routed back to the profile for that TikTok user, where you’ll now see a blocked message at the top of the screen. Going forward this user will be blocked.

TikTok encourages users to maintain control of their personal information. If someone is sharing your personal information without your consent, it’s important to take immediate action by blocking that user. This helps prevent further damage to your privacy and security.

Sometimes, a user may send you repeated messages even after you’ve asked them to stop. This can be frustrating, but you can take control by blocking the user.
8. Impersonating Someone Else
Impersonation is not only a violation of TikTok’s community guidelines, but it can also cause serious harm. If you encounter someone pretending to be someone else, report the behavior and block the user immediately.
9. Posting Graphic or Disturbing Content
TikTok is meant to be a positive and enjoyable platform, not a place for graphic or disturbing content. If you come across any videos or comments that are inappropriate or offensive, block the user responsible and report the behavior.
