If you’ve ever had someone constantly bothering you in comments, sending unwanted messages, or just making your Reddit experience unpleasant, blocking them is the best way to take back control. When you block someone on Reddit, they can’t see your posts or comments, and you won’t see anything from them either — it’s like they completely disappear from your feed. It’s a quick and easy way to keep your Reddit space more positive and personalized.

Steps to Block Someone on Reddit
- Tap the username of the Reddit user you want to block to view their profile.
- Tap the ellipses at the top of their Reddit profile screen to open a menu, and then tap “Block Account” in that menu. A window pops up letting you know that if you move forward with blocking this Reddit user, they won’t be able to contact you, or view your profile, posts or comments on the platform.
- Tap “Yes, Block.” You’ll see a note letting you know that Reddit user has successfully been blocked.
If you ever want to review the list of people you’ve blocked on Reddit, or have a change of heart and want to unblock someone, all you need to do is tap your Reddit profile icon, tap “Settings,” tap your profile name in the Account Settings section, and then tap “Manage Blocked Accounts” on this screen. You’ll see a list of all of the Reddit accounts you’ve blocked. If you want to unblock any of these users, all you need to do is tap “Unblock” next to that user to unblock them immediately.
