How to Answer Calls on Fitbit Versa 2

Introduction

The Fitbit Versa 2 is a feature-packed smartwatch, extending the device’s usefulness far beyond that of a simple health and fitness tracker. One of the more useful features on the device is the ability to answer or decline phone calls that come in to your paired iPhone or Android device directly on your Fitbit Versa 2. Note that you can only accept or decline phone calls through your Fitbit device, and you can’t actually talk to people through the smartwatch.

Steps to Make Sure Call Notifications Are Turned On

First, you need to make sure call notifications are turned on for your Fitbit Versa 2.

1. Launch the Fitbit app on your iPhone, iPad or Android device. You’ll land on the Fitbit Today screen.
2. Tap your profile picture in the upper left corner of the screen. The Account screen is displayed.
3. Tap your Fitbit Versa 2 in the list of connected devices. The information screen for your Fitbit Versa 2 appears.

4. Tap “Notifications” in the list of options on the bottom part of this screen. The Notifications screen appears.

5. Tap to set the toggle to the right of Calls to On.

You’ll automatically start receiving notifications on your Fitbit Versa 2 whenever you get a phone call on your paired device.

Steps to Answer Phone Call on iPhone or Android

Now let’s walk through the steps to answer a phone call on your paired iPhone or Android device using your Fitbit Versa 2.

With call notifications enabled, you’ll feel your Fitbit Versa 2 vibrate, and you’ll see an an Incoming Call message on the screen, along with either the contact name, or if there’s no assigned contact name, a phone number. You can tap the green phone icon in the lower right corner of your Fitbit Versa screen to accept the phone call on your iPhone or Android device. When you do this, the phone call will automatically be answered on your phone. Alternatively, if you don’t want to answer the phone call, you can either let the call ring through to your voice mail, or you can tap the red phone icon with a line through it in the upper right corner of the Fitbit Versa 2 screen to send the caller directly to voice mail.
